An accomplished arts educator

Heidi Miller
Heidi has taught extensively in pre-K – 12 classrooms and at sites of higher education, including Hunter College School of Education where she co-taught graduate and undergraduate level Art Education courses. As Program Manager, Teaching Artists and Strategic Alliances at Lincoln Center Institute, she developed program content and served on a team responsible for the recruitment, training, managing and professional development of the Institute’s visual and performing arts teaching faculty. At Lincoln Center, Heidi developed agendas and served as Lead Facilitator for the Institute’s Consultancies and Educator Workshops, both nationally and internationally. Audiences for these arts and education professional development initiatives included artists, educators, school and district administrators, and directors and staff of cultural organizations.
As a consultant based in New York, Heidi is a vendor listed with the NYC Dept. of Education. She has written online curriculum for PBS, customized lesson plans for classroom teachers, served as an evaluator for 92Y and the NYC Dept. of Education, and conducted numerous teaching artist trainings and professional developments for arts and general educators. Heidi earned a BFA from the Boston Conservatory and completed a year of graduate study at New York University before receiving her MFA from the University of Hawaii.
